Mix dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and a pinch of salt in a large bowl.
In a separate bowl whisk together buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir gently -- lumps are fine and keep pancakes fluffy.
Heat a griddle or non-stick pan over medium heat and lightly butter it.
Pour a third of a cup of batter per pancake and cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2 minutes.
Flip and cook a further 1 to 2 minutes until golden. Serve immediately with maple syrup and blueberries.
